Dear RockHounds Fans,
Here is an update on our current situation and some answers to questions you may have relating to the coronavirus and its effect on the RockHounds baseball season.
Due to the current uncertain nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Midland RockHounds are closing our offices to the public to keep everyone safe and to do our part to minimize the spread. The closure will begin immediately and will last through the end of this week. An update will be posted next week by Friday, March 27 at 5 p.m.
The RockHounds are taking these measures out of extreme caution and following all guidelines recommended by the Centers of Disease Control. RockHounds staff will continue working during this time and will be available via telephone, e-mail, and social channels to address the needs of our constituents and community.
We thank you for your commitment as RockHounds fans. The safety and well-being of our guests and our community is our top priority. The world health community continues to monitor closely the emergence of the coronavirus (COVID-19). At this time, no one knows how severe this outbreak will be.

Out of precaution, Minor League Baseball (MiLB) in partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB) announced a delay to the start of the 2020 regular season until mid-May. The Midland RockHounds will respectfully comply with both, MiLB and CDC guidelines. While we hope to play a full schedule of games, we don't know exactly what the season will look like at this point. We, as all other teams, are working with MiLB and MLB to determine if the delayed start will lead to a full season of games that extends past September or if we will play a shortened season in 2020. We will continue to work with state and local
health officials, the Oakland Athletics, MiLB, MLB, and our community partners to resume operations as soon as it is safe to do so. We will continue to provide regular updates as the situation evolves and/or warrants additional changes.
We would like to assure you that the Midland RockHounds have your best interest in mind and want to assure you that we will provide the best service and accommodations possible during this uncertain time.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support. We will provide updates as they become available. If you have further any questions or concerns in the meantime, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 432-520-2255 or midlandrockhound.org for more information.
