Keri & John Clark
[By Keri] Keri & John met when I interviewed for the last position for the first front office (staff hired before the ballpark opened). I was hired and started in November 2000. We quickly became friends and started to date after the first season. John was the Assistant General Manager when he hired me. We worked together for many years prior to John accepting a position with the Houston Rockets in May of 2006. I continued to work as Director of Special Events at the time and followed him to Houston in October 2006. John worked for several years in Corporate Sponsorships and I was working at the University of Houston for the Bauer College of Business planning events. In 2008 we moved to south Florida when John accepted a position with the Miami Dolphins and I worked for Nova Southeastern University at the Wayne Huizenga School of Business. In 2010 we moved to Jersey City when John accepted a job offer with Madison Square Garden with the NY Knicks, Liberty and NY Rangers. I was working for PlusOne Health Management in Sales and Marketing.
We were married in Jersey City in October 2011. We recently celebrated 10 years of marriage and have 2 amazing boys (Jackson -9yr, Tyler - 7yr). We moved to the Boston Area in 2013 when John accepted a position with Fenway Sports Group. Currently John is the EVP, Chief Business Development Officer for Fenway Sports Management. Keri is stay at home mom and the Vice President of the PTO for her kids school. She also serves as Executive Director for the Redhawk Foundation a local charity formed in 2021.
Alicia & Jeremy Fishman
[By Jeremy] “If you build it, [s]he will come.” I am proverbially hijacking a famous Field of Dreams quote and applying it to my life, in this case, it feels right, even if I had but a very small part in “building” the BlueClaws. I had already worked in the industry for three years when I joined the BlueClaws, and for three years I was but one of a number of amazing folks who worked hard to put Lakewood, NJ and the BlueClaws on the minor league baseball map. Alicia, having just graduated from Penn State and already having spent the previous summer as an intern with the Hagerstown Suns, came in as an intern in the Merchandise Department, and ultimately was promoted to the Merchandise Manager.
Despite many differences (she is a native Texan, while I am NJ to the bone; she suffers with the Dallas Cowboys, I wallow with the New York Jets; she thinks Ghostbusters II was a good movie, I know better), we shared many more similarities. We both enjoyed movies, loved to laugh, and both bled Yankees pinstripes. And we both loved working in minor league baseball, where truthfully, the baseball was the least important part of it. She loved merchandising and outfitting fans in their BlueClaws merchandise, and for me, the hum of a Boca machine printing out tickets is akin to the sounds of rain falling, or Bob Ross painting. And ultimately, we both fell in love!
18 years after first meeting and nearly 14 years after exchanging wedding vows, we still hold each other and the BlueClaws in our hearts. Our family has expanded, as has my waistline; and both of our kids, Sam and Juliet, have experienced several BlueClaws games from the stands. Many of our closest friends come from our time with the team, and four were part of our extended wedding party. FirstEnergy Park was the cathedral that brought Alicia and I together. Since I started with a Field of Dreams quote, I guess I will end with one as well:
“This field, this game: [the BlueClaws], it's a part of our past..."
Zack & Brittany Nicol
Brittany and Zack met while the two were interning with the BlueClaws during the 2014 season. Later in their internship together, they realized they both had feelings for each other and started dating. They moved to Dallas for several years while Zack worked for the Mavericks and then returned to New Jersey in 2017. They've been together for eight years and will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary in May. They now live in Toms River with their dog Finley.
Amanda Glatz & Dylan Citron
Dylan and Amanda met at the BlueClaws when they were both hired as marketing assistants for the 2017 season. After working many homestands and theme nights together, they started dating later that same year. Dylan is now a marketing manager at Fusion Auto Finance, and Amanda is a writer for the marketing team at Monmouth University. They recently bought a house together and adopted a wheaten terrier puppy named Gus. They are getting married this November in Spring Lake.
Megan & Andy Granozio
Megan and Andy met while the two were interning together with the BlueClaws in 2011. They sat together on "The Row," an office section, making sales calls for the summer. While Andy had played baseball all of his life and has always been a big sports fan, Megan had to create flash cards with baseball terms, which she dutifully studied, before the internship started. Even though Andy is from Syracuse and Megan from the Jersey Shore, they became fast friends. After the first homestand, three months after they had met, they admitted how they'd both been feeling about each other. They married in 2016 and live in Brielle with their dog Scout.
Paige Selle & Kevin Moodhe
Paige and Kevin met during the 2013 season while Paige was working in the Ticket Operations Department and Kevin was in Special Events and Operations. They quickly formed a strong connection that continued to grow throughout the season, and began officially dating in January of 2014. They credit the long hours spent together and great front office atmosphere for contributing to that initial spark that has lasted beyond their time at the BlueClaws and remains strong eight years later.
Gabby Burkart & Jeff Rhein
Gabby and Jeff met during the 2015 season while both were working in the Kids Zone at FirstEnergy Park! They've been officially dating since New Year's Day in 2017 and moved in together in December of 2020. Gabby is currently a middle school teacher and tutors during her free time. Jeff is currently working as maintenance technician, and still visits the BlueClaws part-time on the grounds crew. Jeff and Gabby will hopefully take the next few steps within the next months
