Dodgers win series finale against Express to earn a split in the four-game set

Oklahoma City - Alex Verdugo and Bobby Wilson each drove in three runs apiece as the Oklahoma City Dodgers defeated the Round Rock Express, 9-4, Monday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Verdugo hit a two-run double in the second inning and his sixth home run of the season in the fourth inning. Wilson added a bases-clearing double in the seventh inning as he extended the Dodgers to a six-run lead in front of a crowd of 4,371.

With the win in the series finale between the teams, the Dodgers earned a split in the four-game set against the Express and are now 2-0-5 in their last seven series.
Round Rock (56-64) got on the scoreboard first Monday.
Ronald Guzmán and Ryan Rua led off the second inning with back-to-back singles. Travis Snider followed and hit a three-run homer to center field to put the Express on top, 3-0.
The Dodgers (65-55) took the lead in the bottom of the second inning.
Oklahoma City loaded the bases on back-to-back one-out singles and a fielder's choice. Oklahoma City then scored five runs with two outs as they connected on four straight hits.
Tim Locastro doubled to left field to drive in two runs and extend his hitting streak to six straight games. Verdugo followed with a two-run double to left field that gave the Dodgers the lead.
Rob Segedin, on a Major League Rehab Assignment, connected on a RBI single to push the Dodgers in front, 5-3. Edwin Ríos hit added another double before Henry Ramos flied out to end the inning.
Verdugo added to Oklahoma City's lead in the bottom of the fourth inning, leading off with a solo homer to right-center field to put Oklahoma City ahead, 6-3.
The Dodgers loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh inning on two singles and a walk. Wilson stepped up to the plate next and hit a bases-clearing double into left field to extend Oklahoma City's lead to 9-3.
Round Rock's Drew Stubbs cut into Oklahoma City's lead in the ninth inning. He connected on a RBI single into left field with two outs in the ninth inning to reduce the Dodgers' lead to five runs.
Dodgers starting pitcher Eddie Gamboa (6-6) earned the win against his former team. Gamboa signed with the Dodgers as a free agent June 30 after starting the season with Round Rock in the Texas Rangers' organization. Gamboa allowed three runs and five hits over 6.0 innings Monday with four strikeouts and one walk.
Round Rock starting pitcher James Dykstra (2-7) was charged with the loss. He allowed five runs and eight hits over 2.0 innings with one strikeout.
O'Koyea Dickson finished a game-best 3-for-4 and scored two runs for the Dodgers. Locastro and Edwin Rios also finished with multi-hit games for Oklahoma City.
The Dodgers next head out on a nine-game road trip and open a five-game series against the Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at Werner Park.
