ZEBULON, N.C. - The Carolina Mudcats return for more baseball magic at Five County Stadium on Thursday, June 15 with game one of a four game home stand versus the Potomac Nationals. The home stand runs through Sunday, June 18 and will include Comic Con Night, Nickelodeon Night and Father's Day catch on the field.

Thursday's series opener (6/15) against the visiting Potomac Nationals will feature Thirsty Thursday and an appearance by the 2017 World Baseball Classic trophy as the WBC Trophy Tour comes to Five County Stadium. The first pitch is set for 7:00 p.m., with gates opening at 6:00 p.m.
The weekend series continues on Friday (6/16) with Friday Night Fireworks presented by Sears Home Services and Comic Con Night at the ballpark. Fans dressing up as their favorite comic book characters will receive discounted tickets at the Five County Stadium box office. Friday's game is also Girl Scout Night and will begin at 7:00 p.m., with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. 
Friday's game will also include a special pregame festivities as Robert Smith from The Little Green Apples Project will throw out the first pitch and perform the National Anthem. Smith, a blind man, has a goal of singing the National Anthem and throwing out the first pitch at every professional baseball park in the country. His stop at Five County Stadium on June 16 is part of his east coast tour and his tour through North and South Carolina this summer. Smith's father, O.C. Smith, was a Grammy-winning soul and R&B singer best known for the song "Little Green Apples."
On Saturday, June 17, fans can then relive their favorite 90's Nickelodeon game show as the Mudcats will wear special "Double Dare" themed jerseys during their game against the visiting Nationals. The game worn and autographed Nickelodeon jerseys will be auctioned off online at auctions.carolinamudcats.com with the net proceeds benefiting the Miracle League of the Triangle. Also, kids 14 and under will receive small prizes to go along with the night. Saturday's game (6/17) will begin at 5:00 p.m., with gates opening at 4:00 p.m. in Zebulon.
The home stand concludes on Sunday, June 18 with a daytime Father's Day start at 2:00 p.m. Sunday's series and first half finale against the Nationals will also include a pregame catch on the field for Dad's and their children from 1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
