Wappingers Falls, N.Y. (Oct. 8, 2026) – The Hudson Valley Renegades, the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, and their ownership group, Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH), the club’s owner and operator, announced today that Kristen Huss will become the ninth General Manager of the Renegades. Huss will be the first female General Manager in the team’s 32-year history.
Huss rejoins the Renegades front office where she worked first as a game day employee selling programs in 2001, eventually rising to become Assistant General Manager in 2013. After departing to serve for three seasons as the General Manager of the Pittsfield Suns of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, she returned to the Renegades as Vice President of Community Partnerships after the 2018 season before departing in April 2021.
“I am incredibly grateful to return to the Renegades as General Manager. The Renegades have always held a special place in my heart, and I am proud to see all that the organization has accomplished over the years,” Huss said. “To come back to the organization where my professional career began is a truly special and meaningful full-circle moment. I have so many great memories here and have formed many long-lasting relationships that have helped shape my career. I look forward to working with this talented staff and seeing our amazing fans, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead the organization into its next chapter.”
While with the Renegades, Huss was named the New York-Penn League Female Executive of the Year in both 2013 and 2015, and was named one of Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s “40 Under 40” in 2015. In her time with the Suns, she was named the 2017 Futures League Executive of the Year and was inducted into the New England Baseball Hall of Fame as part of its Class of 2017.
“Kristen’s return to the Renegades is an exciting moment for the organization and we’re thrilled to welcome her back,” said Pat Battle and Peter Freund, Executive Chairman and CEO of Diamond Baseball Holdings, respectively. “Having grown through many roles with the club, she brings a deep understanding of the team, its fans and the Hudson Valley community, along with a proven track record as a leader and we’re confident she’ll make an impact as General Manager.”
Since leaving the Renegades, Huss has been the Senior Resort Operations Manager at LEGOLAND® New York Resort in Goshen, New York where she oversaw aspects of the park focusing on parking, admissions, guest services, guest communications, VIP experiences, retail, park presentation, and attractions.
Huss graduated from Fairfield University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2006 and was a Ticket Office Intern with the Renegades that summer before joining the front office full time after the season as a Ticket Sales Account Manager. She was promoted to Director of Ticket Sales and Customer Service in 2007, and was promoted again to Assistant GM following the 2012 season.
Huss replaces Tom Denlinger at Renegades General Manager, who will be departing the club to become the new President of the Charlotte Knights, the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
