Asheville overcame an early 2-0 deficit with four runs in the bottom of the third. Manny Melendez, Gomez, and Bosiokovic all connected with RBI hits in the inning and the Tourists batted around against Drive starter
The game remained tied 5-5 until the bottom of the tenth thanks to Bryan Baker's three innings of relief work. Baker notched his team leading sixth win of the season. Offensively, Gomez led the way with three hits and a pair of runs batted in.
The Drive had multiple chances to score that they left on the table. Greenville pounded out a total of 15 hits and saw the leadoff man reach base in nine of the ten innings played.
The Tourists will attempt to sweep the Drive on Thursday night when the Asheville Hippies take on the Greenville professional baseball team at 7:05pm.
