The Sacramento River Cats (60-75) received two great performances from Mac Williamson and Matt Gage Tuesday night as they took down the Las Vegas 51s (52-84) by a final score of 3-1 Tuesday night at Raley Field.

Williamson provided the offense tonight, launching a two-run home run in the fourth inning to give the River Cats a 2-1 lead which they would not relinquish. The 419-foot blast was his 13th of the year and RBI 48 and 49 on the season.
Starter Matt Gage was equally impressive on the hill, setting a new season-high by tossing seven innings while allowing just one run. Of the four hits he allowed, only one went for extra bases and he did not walk a batter. Right-hander Derek Law closed it out in the ninth for his 10th save this season.
