NORFOLK, Va --- The Norfolk Tides (2-0) defeated the Nashville Sounds (0-2), 7-6, in 10 innings on Saturday night at Harbor Park. The two wins to start the season clinches the opening series of the season for Norfolk.

Jud Fabian led the offense early with a two-run double in the second inning. Nashville tied it up with two runs in the fifth inning, but Norfolk took the lead back with two runs in the sixth. Those came on RBI knocks by Will Robertson and Willy Vasquez. Ryan Noda capped Norfolk's scoring with a solo homer, the first team home run of the season for the Tides.

Nashville made a comeback in the ninth inning, tying the game with three runs in the ninth. Norfolk would get two runners on in the ninth, but couldn't score as they went to extras.

The Sounds offense continued, scratching across a run in the 10th. The Tides were down to their final out in the bottom-half with a runner on first and third. Enrique Bradfield Jr. tied the game on an RBI single, then Weston Wilson would finish the job with a walk-off RBI single.
