Hartford, Conn. - The Portland Sea Dogs (33-31) made it two straight wins in Hartford, defeating the Yard Goats (41-43), 10-2 on Thursday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park.

Hartford, Conn. - The Portland Sea Dogs (33-31) made it two straight wins in Hartford, defeating the Yard Goats (41-43), 10-2 on Thursday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park.

Portland trailed 1-0 after two innings on a solo-homer by Mylz Jones but went on to score eight runs in the next two innings. Dedgar Jimenez (4-6) earned the victory, tossing five innings on three hits, two runs, and seven strikeouts to earn the win.
The 'Dogs could not figure out Evan Grills (L, 2-2) over 2.1 innings, as the lefty did not allow a hit. Portland tied the game in the third inning on a solo-homer (#2) by Danny Mars. With two outs, Josh Ockimey and Jantzen Witte provided RBI hits, giving the 'Dogs a 3-1 lead. Hartford the cut the deficit to 3-2 in their half of the third on a solo-homer (#6) by Roberto Ramos. 
Portland put the game away in the fourth inning, scoring five times off Grills. Mars and Renda had RBI doubles, and Witte clobbered a three-run homer to right-center field. The Sea Dogs scored two in the eighth on a homer (#3) by Renda and a single, error by the centerfield. 
Matthew Gorst (2 IP), Travis Lakins (IP) and Josh Taylor (IP) combined for four scoreless in relief on just one hit, and three strikeouts. 
Ockimey and Witte each had three hits for the Sea Dogs, who collected 15 on the night. The entire lineup had at least one base hit.
The Sea Dogs and Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies affiliate) meet on Friday night beginning at 7:05 PM from Dunkin' Donuts Park. Lefty Kyle Hart (5-5, 3.68) makes his 15th start of the year. The Yard Goats send right-hander Ryan Castellani (5-4, 5.58) to the mound.
