Yard Goats Drop Final Game of Road Trip 2-1
Binghamton, NY- The Binghamton Rumble Ponies defeated the Hartford Yard Goats by the score of 2-1 on Thursday night at NYSEG Stadium in Binghamton, New York. It was the final contest of a four game in three-day road trip as the Yard Goats return home to Dunkin' Donuts Park tomorrow night to host the Yankees affiliate, the Trenton Thunder.
The Yard Goats scored the first run of the game as catcher Chris Rabago led off the third inning with a solo home run off Binghamton knuckleballer Mickey Janis. Rabago cranked a line drive homer down the left field line and into the Hartford bullpen for his fourth home run of the season. The Yard Goats had the bases loaded in the third inning but could not add another run.
