KILA KA'AIHUE INDUCTED INTO NATURALS HALL OF FAME

SPRINGDALE, Ark - During Opening Night at Arvest Ballpark, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals proudly announced that 1B Kila Ka'aihue, a former star for the Naturals in 2008, has been inducted into the Naturals Hall of Fame. Ka'aihue was ultimately elected over fellow candidates INF Whit Merrifield and OF Wil Myers

SPRINGDALE, Ark - During Opening Night at Arvest Ballpark, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals proudly announced that 1B Kila Ka'aihue, a former star for the Naturals in 2008, has been inducted into the Naturals Hall of Fame. Ka'aihue was ultimately elected over fellow candidates INF Whit Merrifield and OF Wil Myers by the Naturals' Hall of Fame Voting Committee.

Ka'aihue becomes just the sixth individual inducted into the Naturals Hall of Fame. He joins elite company as he will now be honored with the likes of Clint Robinson ('13), Brian Poldberg ('14), Mike Moustakas ('15), Eric Hosmer ('16), and Salvador Perez ('18). The Hall of Fame at Arvest Ballpark is located along the wall of the Community Room, just inside the main gates. Fans are encouraged to check out the plaques as well as the Season 10 Team ('17) during their next visit to Arvest Ballpark.
Ka'aihue played in 91 games during the Naturals' inaugural 2008 season. The power-hitting lefty led the team with a .314 average to go along with 26 home runs, 79 RBIs, and an on-base-percentage of .463 en route to being awarded Texas League Player of the Year. In addition, he was selected as a Texas League Midseason All-Star, Postseason All-Star, and a Minor League All-Star according to Baseball America. To cap off his memorable campaign, he made his Major League debut for the Kansas City Royals on September 4 of 2008. In 12 games that year, he hit .286 and launched his first home run on September 20.
