Naturals Attendance Figures on the Rise

With the Texas League passing to 100 million mark in total attendance yesterday, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals have their own attendance milestones that have come to pass with the close of the present homestand, the fourth in Arvest Ballpark history.

With a Memorial Day crowd of 4,978 the Naturals have drawn 32,677 fans during this current six-game stretch against Midland and Frisco, for an average attendance of 5,446 fans. An average of 5,169 fans attended the Naturals games against the Tulsa Drillers and Springfield Cardinals during the May 3rd-10th homestand; that was the previous best thus far on the season.

This past homestand also saw the largest Arvest Ballpark crowd since Opening Night (6,386, set on Saturday night), the fourth largest (6,071, set on Friday night), and the largest crowd on a Sunday (5,829, also the sixth-largest crowd).

Thus far in 2008, 136,343 fans have come through the gates at Arvest Ballpark through 27 home openings, providing for an overall average attendance of 5,050 fans per game.

The Naturals hit the road tomorrow for a six-game road trip to Midland and Frisco, TX and return home on June 4th to face the Arkansas Travelers.
