Nuts Shutout Again in 4-0 Loss

Visalia, CA. - For the second straight night, the Nuts were shutout against the Rawhide, dropping a 4-0 decision on Saturday night at Recreation Park.

Nuts (10-32; 33-79) starter Devin Burke (L, 5-10) surrendered two, two-out, two-run homers, which accounted for all of the offense for the Rawhide (24-18; 60-52). Burke worked six innings, striking out three and allowing five hits.

Rudy Flores smacked a two-run shot in the third inning. In the fifth, Alex Glenn yanked a two-run homer to right.

Spencer Arroyo (W, 6-5) continued his dominance over the Nuts and turned in his third outing against Modesto in which he did not allow an earned run. The lefty tossed six innings, allowed just three singles, walked one and struck out six.

Johnny Shuttlesworth (S, 1) worked three perfect innings out of the bullpen to send the Nuts to their seventh straight loss.

In the finale of the four-game series, the Nuts will put Jayson Aquino on the mound opposite Andrew Barbosa.
