Flynn Recalled, Vines Joins Omaha & Caramo Activated
The Kansas City Royals announced a series of transactions on Monday that affects their Triple-A affiliate Omaha Storm Chasers roster prior to this evening's series-opening matchup versus the Nashville Sounds at First Tennessee Park in Nashville, Tennessee.

Left-hander Brian Flynn has been recalled to Kansas City. The southpaw has accumulated a 5-3 record and 5.40 ERA (30 ER/50.0 IP) in 22 appearances (four starts) with the Storm Chasers, adding 50 strikeouts.
In addition, right-handed hurler Jace Vines has been transferred to Omaha from High-A Wilmington, and is expected to make his Triple-A debut this evening. In 25 outings (20 starts) between the Blue Rocks and Low-A Lexington, Vines owns a 12-7 record and 3.52 ERA (52 ER/133.0 IP). He ranks second among all Royals farmhands in wins (12) and third in earned-run average (3.52) this season.

As a result of these transactions, the Storm Chasers' active roster stands at 25, in addition to five on the Disabled List.
Vines is anticipated to make his Triple-A debut as Omaha begins their four-game road set in Nashville this evening. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT at First Tennessee Park. The Sounds are expected to oppose Vines with RHP Josh Smith (4-1, 4.31).
The Storm Chasers return to Werner Park to complete their 2017 campaign with a four-game series versus the Iowa Cubs beginning on Friday, September 1. First pitch of the series opener is set for 7:05 p.m. CT.
