Beloit, Wis. -- The Chiefs rallied from an early two-run deficit but fell to Beloit 7-3 on Sunday. The teams split the six-game series.

The Snappers scored twice in the second inning on the strength of consecutive two-out hits to take an early 2-0 lead.

Chiefs starter Connor Lunn settled in over the middle innings and the offense tied the contest. In the fifth, Tyler Reichenborn homered for the second straight day to cut the deficit in half. An inning later, Brady Whalen doubled home Brendan Donovan to make it a 2-2 game.

Lunn started the sixth inning on the mound but after allowing the first two men to reach, he was lifted for Fabian Blanco. The Snappers scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to take a 4-2 advantage, a lead they would not relinquish.

Pedro Pages drove in his ninth run of the season with an RBI single in the eighth inning, which cut the Beloit lead to 5-3. The Snappers would add on two more in their half of the eighth to secure the series split.

The Chiefs are off tomorrow on Memorial Day. Their 12-game road swing continues on Tuesday, when the Chiefs kick off a six-game set with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers from Appleton.
