Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that LHP Alex Robinson has been promoted to Fort Myers (FSL) and RHP Tyler Beardsley has been activated from the 7-day disabled list. Brad Steil, Director of Minor League Operations for the Twins, announced the move.
Robinson was a member of the Kernels 2017 Opening Day Roster and has made 28 relief appearances for the Kernels this season, posting a 2-5 record, 2.84 ERA and two saves. In 38 IP, he allowed 29 hits and 12 runs (all earned) with 15 walks and 51 strikeouts. He was selected by the Twins in the 5th round of the 2015 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Maryland.
Beardsley was also a member of the Kernels 2017 Opening Day roster and made seven starts for the Kernels before being placed on the DL on May 24. He has a 3-3 record and 6.00 ERA, allowing 48 hits and 28 runs (26 earned) with seven walks and 20 strikeouts in 39 IP. He was selected by the Twins in the 16th round of the 2016 First Year Player Draft out of Cal State - Sacramento.

Beardsley is active and available for today's 2:05 PM game with Peoria. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster is at the Midwest League maximum of 25 active players, with four players currently on the DL.
The Kernels continue a seven-game home stand today against the Peoria Chiefs at 2:05 PM with the gates opening at 5:30 PM. The current home stand continues through Monday, June 10th.
