SALEM, Virginia (July 1, 2019) - The Carolina League has announced the Players of the Week for June 24th-30th. Southpaw Enmanuel DeJesus nailed down the honor through two dominant starts.

DeJesus started the week with 10 strikeouts against Fayetteville through 7.0 innings, permitting no earned runs and just one walk. The lefty picked up the win five days later facing Winston-Salem after a one-run, eight-strikeout performance.

The Venezuelan hurler holds sixth-overall in the League in innings pitched (75.2) and strikeouts (70). DeJesus' 1.35 WHIP is fourth-best.

The selection is the third of the season for the Salem Red Sox. DeJesus is the first pitcher to receive the honor after Jarren Duran and Marcus Wilson.
