Lakeland Flying Tigers outfielder Cam Gibson has been named Florida State League Player of the Week. The FSL selection was for the period of June 26 - July 2.

Lakeland Flying Tigers outfielder Cam Gibson has been named Florida State League Player of the Week. The FSL selection was for the period of June 26 - July 2.

Lakeland, FL - Lakeland Flying Tigers outfielder Cam Gibson has been named Florida State League (FSL) Player of the Week. The FSL selection was for the period of June 26 - July 2.
Gibson hit .421 (8-19) with two doubles, one triple and two home runs in seven games. He scored seven runs and knocked in five. He also walked seven times and added a stolen base. 
This is Gibson's second Player of the Week honor this season. He was previously selected as the Midwest League Player of the Week for May 8-14 while playing for the West Michigan Whitecaps. This is Gibson's third professional season. He was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the fifth round of the June 2015 draft while attending Michigan State University.
