Fresno, CA – The Fresno Grizzlies open their home schedule one week from today on Tuesday, April 9. Facing off against the Inland Empire 66ers, Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, the Home Opener, presented by Visit Fresno County will feature a magnet schedule giveaway, post-game fireworks show, and the return of baseball to downtown Fresno.

After the home opener on April 9, the Grizzlies will continue their 6-game homestand against the 66ers with a variety of promotions. Friday, April 12, celebrates My Job Depends on Ag Night, presented by Stamoules Produce. The evening features a Replica Jersey Giveaway for the first 1,500 fans, presented by Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, as well as Friday Night Fireworks presented by OXBO. The fun continues on Saturday, April 13, with Meet Bluey and Bingo Night, presented by CalViva Health, where fans of all ages can meet two of the characters from the hit show, Bluey. Finally, the series wraps up with Bark in the Park, where fans who purchase a special ticket at FresnoGrizzlies.com/Offers can bring their dog to Chukchansi Park.

“Now that the team is in town, it really feels like baseball season here at Chukchansi Park,” said Derek Franks, president of the Fresno Grizzlies. “Next week kicks off the best time of the year, and our entire staff couldn’t be more excited to welcome our fans back to downtown Fresno.”

The Grizzlies open their season on the road on April 5 in San Jose. Fresno has won four straight season openers, scoring exactly 5 runs in all of those games. Fresno is once again projected to have a strong starting rotation, headlined by Rockies #20 prospect Jack Mahoney, #21 prospect Jake Madden and lefty Albert Pacheco. Besides the trio of arms, the Grizzlies offense will be highlighted by newcomer shortstop Braylen Wimmer and returning third baseman Andy Perez.

First pitch for the team’s home opener is scheduled for 6:50pm, but fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the pregame festivities, including the ceremonial first pitch and team introductions.
