The Twins signed Quezada as a non-drafted free agent in September of 2012. He did not pitch in 2017 due to injury, but had made 12 relief appearances this season at Elizabethton, posting a 2-2 record, 2.35 ERA and two saves. In 23 IP, he allowed 18 hits and eight runs (six earned) with 12 walks and 21 strikeouts.
Quezada is active and available for tonight's 6:35 PM at Wisconsin. With today's transaction, the Kernels roster is at the MWL maximum of 25 active players, with three players currently on the DL.
The Kernels begin a six-game road trip tonight with games at Wisconsin and Beloit. They return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday, August 24th to host Kane County at 6:35 PM.
