Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that OF Lean Marrero has been placed on the 7-day disabled list with a right hamate fracture. Brad Steil, Director of Minor League Operations for the Twins, announced the moves.
Marrero has played in 11 games for the Kernels, batting .200 (8-40) with a double, triple and 2 RBI. He was selected by the Twins in the 16th round of the 2015 First Year Player Draft out of Leadership Christian Academy in Puerto Rico.
A corresponding move was not announced by the Twins. With today's transaction, the Kernels roster is at 24 active players, one below the Midwest League maximum of 25, with five players currently on the DL.

The Kernels continue a seven-game home stand tonight against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at 6:35 PM with the gates opening at 5:30 PM. The current home stand continues through Monday, June 10th.
