Parney's Duck Pond & Chucky's Ring Toss Among Upgrades

RICHMOND, Va. - One of the busiest areas of The Diamond on game days is the Nutzyville Kids Zone presented by HCA Virginia and young Flying Squirrels fans can participate in a variety of new games throughout the season. Nutzyville is located adjacent to the Squirrels Nest presented by Nike Team and features four games plus an autograph station.

"The Nutzyville Kids Zone presented by HCA Virginia has always been one of the most popular spots at The Diamond," said Flying Squirrels VP/COO Todd "Parney" Parnell. "We felt that we owed it to all of our young fans to spice it up a bit with some new games. The results have been phenomenal as the kids are really enjoying Nutzyville, especially the Duck Pond."

Youngsters can try their luck at several new games in the revamped Nutzyville Kids Zone. The Wheel of FUNN provides an opportunity for kids to spin the wheel and win a great prize for just $1.

Kids can also sample Parney's Duck Pond. For just $1, kids can pick any of the ducks in the pond beneath Parney's smiling visage and win a prize. Everyone who plays is a winner!

Chucky's Ring Toss is another new option for kids seeking a stiffer challenge. The ring toss, which is named for Flying Squirrels CEM Chuck Domino, allows contestants to test their aim to win several prizes. Various Flying Squirrels collectibles and a gift card to the Squirrels Nest presented by Nike Team are among the grand prizes available at Chucky's Ring Toss.

In addition to the new games, the kids zone also contains an inflatable speed pitch, where children can see how they stack up against their favorite Squirrels pitchers, and the SunTrust Autograph Hut. Nutzy and Zinger are regular guests at the SunTrust Autograph Hut and Parker the Rally Pigs is also available to pose for photos with the kids. Additionally, Flying Squirrels players usually make weekly appearances at the SunTrust Autograph Hut prior to Sunday home games.
