SPRINGDALE-Josh Naylor continued his torrid start to the season and Fernando Tatis, Jr. snapped out of a slump to lead the Missions to an 8-4 win over the NW Arkansas Naturals in the series opener on Sunday at Arvest Ballpark.
Naylor, who homered twice in the opening game of Saturday's doubleheader in Little Rock, added another longball and drove in three runs. He's knocked in 10 over the last three games.
Tatis, Jr., rated as the best prospect in the Padres minor league system and in the top-10 in all minor league baseball, singled three times and drove in a pair of runs. The hits were his first after starting the season 0-for-13.
Jerry Keel earned the win in his 2018 debut. The lefty fanned nine and allowed just one run over five innings.
San Antonio finished with 14 hits, establishing a season high for hits and runs in a game.
The Missions have won three straight after losing on opening night. They've scored 19 runs during the winning streak.
