Spokane, Wash. - After being battered by the Indians in the first three games of the series, the Hops exacted their revenge on Friday night at Avista Stadium. Hillsboro connected on a season high three home runs and kept Spokane's potent lineup in check as they got their first win of the series, 8-3, in front of 5,839 fans at the ballpark for Armed Forces Appreciation & Fireworks Night presented by Mallory Paint Store, KHQ, & 103.5 The Game.

TOP PERFORMERS

Right fielder Yanquiel Fernandez finished 2-for-5 and now has 12 hits over his last four games to bump his May slash line to .375/.400/.688.

Juan Guerrero also collected a pair of base knocks and has now hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games. The 21-year-old is hitting .375 (15-for-40) this month with eight extra-base hits and nine RBI.

Relievers Juan Mejia (1 IP, 0 H, 2 K) and Evan Shawver (2 IP, 0 H, 2 K) combined for three scoreless innings to keep Spokane within striking distance.

AROUND THE NORTHWEST LEAGUE

Tri-City (15-15) improved to .500 with a 6-5 win over a sputtering Eugene team (16-15).

The red-hot Canadians (17-10) defeated the AquaSox (14-16) by a final of 10-2.
