Drew Romo Named NWL Player of the Month

May 4, 2022 — Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB™) today announced the Player and Pitcher of the Month Award winners for April in each of the 11 leagues in Major League Baseball’s player development system, which included Spokane Indians catcher Drew Romo.

The switch-hitting Romo led the Northwest League in average (.342), hits (26) and total bases (38) and was second in runs (14). He was third in RBI (14) and OPS (.884) and fourth in slugging percentage (.500). Romo, 20, was selected by Colorado in Competitive Balance Round A of the 2020 MLB Draft out of The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, Texas.
