Ethridge Dazzles, Veen Homers in 7-5 Loss

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Indians got a strong start from right-hander Will Ethridge but Spokane's normally stout bullpen faltered late in a 7-5 loss to Everett in front of 4,451 fans at Avista Stadium for Hoopfest Court Poster Giveaway & Fireworks Night presented by The MAX at the Mirabeau Park

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Indians got a strong start from right-hander Will Ethridge but Spokane's normally stout bullpen faltered late in a 7-5 loss to Everett in front of 4,451 fans at Avista Stadium for Hoopfest Court Poster Giveaway & Fireworks Night presented by The MAX at the Mirabeau Park Hotel & The Big 99.9 Coyote Country.

TOP PERFORMERS

Ethridge turned in his best start in over a month, holding the AquaSox to just one run over five innings while striking out six.

Rockies top prospect Zac Veen finished the night 2-for-3 including his ninth home run of the season - a two-run shot that landed in the parking lot in right field.

Colin Simpson got the scoring started for Spokane with a solo shot - his team-leading 10th of the season - off the Coors Light Caboose in the second inning.

Reliever Anderson Bido struck out three over 1.2 innings of scoreless relief to keep the Indians in the striking distance.

AROUND THE NORTHWEST LEAGUE

Vancouver (31-33) got a pair of home runs from Garrett Spain in a 5-3 win over Hillsboro (29-36).

Hunter Bishop's grand slam led Eugene (39-25) to a 5-3 victory against Tri-City (29-35).

The Spokane Indians office and team store hours are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Monday through Thursday and 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Fridays. On game days, the office and team store are open from 10:00 AM through the end of the game.
