Chase Dollander couldn't have asked for a better start to his professional career. The right-hander out of Tennessee was utterly dominant on a chilly night in Spokane, striking out eight over five hitless frames as the Indians defeated the Canadians, 4-2, in front of 3,044 fans at Avista Stadium for Opening Night Fireworks & AAA Magnet Schedule Giveaway presented by Corwin Ford Spokane, KREM 2, & 93.7 The Mountain.

TOP PERFORMERS

"Ace" Dollander certainly lived up to his advanced billing against the defending Northwest League champions. The ninth-overall pick in last year's MLB Draft allowed just three baserunners while throwing 55 of 85 pitches for strikes.

Shortstop Dyan Jorge - the Rockies No. 7 prospect - finished 2-for-4 with a double, two runs, and two RBI. Robby Martin Jr. and Jesus Bugarin both had a pair of hits while Cole Carrigg, Bryant Betancourt, and Braiden Ward each had one base knock in the win.

Luis Amoroso struck out two in a scoreless sixth inning and Zach Agnos picked up his first save of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.
