Indians Walk Off Hops, 9-8, to Clinch Series Win

Spokane, Wash. - Aiverson Rodriguez capped off a three-hit day with a walk-off single as the Indians topped the Hops, 9-8, in front of 3,024 fans at Avista Stadium for the Mother's Day Game. Spokane's victory gave the team their first series win of the season and improved their record

Spokane, Wash. - Aiverson Rodriguez capped off a three-hit day with a walk-off single as the Indians topped the Hops, 9-8, in front of 3,024 fans at Avista Stadium for the Mother's Day Game. Spokane's victory gave the team their first series win of the season and improved their record to 16-14 (1.5 GB of Vancouver).

TOP PERFORMERS

Aiverson Rodriguez has done nothing but produce since joining the Indians. He finished 3-for-5 with three RBI today and has reached base six times (four hits, two BB) in his first two games with Spokane.

Catcher Braxton Fulford collected three hits and an RBI to raise his season slash line to .330/.430/.543 — all of which rank among the top six in the Northwest League.

Zach Kokoska had a pair of base hits and finished the series against Hillsboro hitting .388 (7-for-18) with four home runs and nine RBI.

Right fielder Yanquiel Fernandez had a pair of RBI looks like a shoo-in for NWL Player of the Week after hitting for the cycle on Wednesday and crushing the Hops with three home runs and 12 RBI over the six games this week.

Avista Stadium is home to the MultiCare Kids Bench Seat. Parking at all Spokane Indians games is FREE. The Spokane Indians Office and Team Store hours are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Monday through Thursday and 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Fridays. On game days, the Office and Team Store are open from 10:00 AM through the end of the game.
