Mets hosting fireworks extravaganza

Fireworks shows coming to Tradition Field Friday and Saturday

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The St. Lucie Mets are hosting a spectacular two day Independence Day celebration this weekend at Tradition Field.

On Friday, in honor of July 4th, a brilliant fireworks show will light up the Treasure Coast sky following the Mets game against the Jupiter Hammerheads.

The fireworks extravaganza continues on Saturday when another pyrotechnic explosion will be on display after the Mets take on the Hammerheads.

Fans who buy July 4th tickets can redeem those tickets for free July 5th or July 6th tickets. Fans must bring the July 4th ticket to the ticket office to make the exchange.

Tickets start at just $8 and can be purchased on www.stluciemets.com, in person at the Tradition Field box office or by calling 772-871-2115. Parking on Friday costs $3.

Both games start at 6:30 p.m. with gates for July 4th opening at 4:30 p.m.

All Klutch's Kids Crew members still receive their free general admission ticket to Friday's game.

Friday is also Happy Hour. Fans can enjoy $2 drafts and $3 wells at the Tiki Bar from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Saturday fans can take advantage of the $10 Corona Light Special which includes a game ticket and all you can drink Corona Light from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

On the field the Mets will wear special Stars and Stripes hats to commemorate Independence Day.
