Friday Doubleheader: Spring Breakout Game Followed by Mets vs. Nationals spring training game

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Clover Park will host a doubleheader on Friday involving the New York Mets organization and the Washington Nationals organization.

It will be a single-admission doubleheader with gates opening at 2 p.m. Fans with tickets to the major league spring training game at 6:10 p.m. are welcome to attend the Spring Breakout game which starts at 3:10 p.m.

The Spring Breakout game will showcase baseball’s future stars, as both the Mets and Nationals will field a team of their top prospects in a seven-inning exhibition contest.

Following the Spring Breakout game, there will be a one-hour meet-and-greet autograph session along the third base concourse. The Nationals meet-and-greet session will start immediately after the game and last 30 minutes. Once the Nationals session ends, the Mets will begin a 30-minute session. All fans in the stadium are welcome to the meet-and-greet. As a courtesy, fans are asked to only have one item to be autographed by players.

The regularly scheduled spring training game between the Mets and Nationals major league teams will begin at 6:10 p.m. unless the start time is pushed back due to the length of the Spring Breakout game.

Both games will air on SNY.
