Come kick off your weekend tailgate at the inaugural Taste of the Smokies Cook-Off benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee! Whether you're a local restaurant, organization or individual itching to try out a new recipe or just a hungry patron, be sure to join the Tennessee Smokies at Smokies Stadium on Friday, October 25 from 5:30 - 9:00 PM.
General admission "tasting" tickets include unlimited samples at the event and are available for $10. Purchase a general admission ticket here.
To participate in the cook-off, the fee is just $25 for one category, and $10 for each additional category. Categories available for entry by organization and individual include chili, BBQ, dessert, and most creative booth. Category awards given at the end of the event are listed below. Smokies Provide:
10x10 ft. space per vendor
6 ft. table & 2 folding chairs
4 oz. Chili/Salsa sample cups
Plates for samples
Napkins
Utensils (Forks, Spoons, Knives)
Food service gloves
One (1) electrical outlet
Trash cans/bags
Competitors Provide:
Max of four (4) people to run booth (includes four (4) General Admission tickets)
55 - 95 lbs. of food or 3 oz. per person (assuming 300 - 500 people)
