The Tennessee Smokies erased a two run deficit to down the Biloxi Shuckers 5-4 on Tuesday.
The hero of the game was Yohendrick Pinango, who hit his first Double-A home run in the top of the ninth inning to break a 4-4 tie. Ezequiel Pagan hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning to tie the game initially.
Frankie Scalzo Jr. (3-0) extended his no earned runs streak to 25 innings by recording the final four outs. He stranded a runner on third in the ninth inning for Tennessee (34-24).
Nate Peterson (1-5) took the loss in relief for the Shuckers (23-34).
The two teams will meet again tomorrow night at 7:35 ET in Biloxi.
