San Bernardino, CA-Rawhide drop Game 1 to Inland Empire by a score of 11-5. The Rawhide defense committed four errors allowing a total of six unearned runs to cross the plate.

Jacob Steinmetz, the Rawhide starter, allowed six earned runs in less than four innings to take his third loss of the year. Yaifer Perdomo pitched the only two scoreless innings for Visalia. Armando Vasquez and Gunnar Groen, threw the seventh and eighth inning respectively, allowing five unearned runs.

Inland Empire starter, Leonard Garcia, earned his first win of the season, giving up three earned runs in five innings of work. Garcia also struck out nine batters and surrendering two walks.

The Rawhide bats were hot with 13 hits in the contest. David Martin, Ronny Polanco, and Manuel Pena had multi-hit games. David Martin's third hit of the day was a solo shot in the ninth inning. The blast was his first home run in his professional career.
