Rawhide Even Up the Series with a Win Over Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE, CA-Rawhide defeat the Lake Elsinore Storm 2-1 in Game 2 of the Championship Series. Ryan Weiss started for the Rawhide and gave up one earned run off five hits and two walks in three innings pitched. Rawhide scored first for the second time this series. In the third inning,

LAKE ELSINORE, CA-Rawhide defeat the Lake Elsinore Storm 2-1 in Game 2 of the Championship Series. Ryan Weiss started for the Rawhide and gave up one earned run off five hits and two walks in three innings pitched. 
Rawhide scored first for the second time this series. In the third inning, Gerald Perdomo and Alek Thomas singled before Yoel Yanqui was intentionally walked by Reiss Khner. Perdomo scored the first run of the game after Max Murphy walked. 
In the bottom of the third, Wiess gave up a lead off base hit to Xavier Edwards then Jeisson Rosario doubled to drive him in. With the scored tied in the third, Weiss found himself with bases loaded and one out. He forced two ground balls to end the inning with the score still tied. 
In the fifth inning, Eduardo Diaz tripled with two outs and Yoel Yanqui beat out a ground ball to short stop to give the Rawhide the 2-1 lead. 
Four Rawhide pitchers worked out of the bullpen and none of them gave up a run. Cole Bartlett pitched three scoreless innings. Mack Lemieux pitched one scoreless inning. Luis Castillo pitched the eighth where he gave up a walk and a double. Breckin Williams came in for him with runners on second and third and two outs. He forced Olivier Basabe to pop out to end the inning. Williams continued to pitch the ninth and shut down the Storm. 
Rawhide tie up the best-of-five series 1-1. Game 3 will be Friday at 7:15 in Visalia. Game 4 and 5 (if necessary) will also be played in Visalia.
