VISALIA, CA- The Lake Elsinore Storm took game two of the three-game series to even up the series. Rawhide starting pitcher, Justin Vernia , took his first loss of the season. He gave two home runs to Allen Córdoba . The first was a solo shot to make the score 1-0 in the second inning. The next blast was in the fourth inning with two runners on base. The Storm took the lead 4-1 from that home run and kept the lead the rest of the game.
The only run the Rawhide scored was off a sacrifice fly from Anfernee Grier that scored Renae Martinez . The Storm's winning pitcher was Caleb Boushley who gave up one run off five hits in seven innings. Nick Kuzia came in relief for Boushley and pitched two scoreless innings and only gave up one hit and one walk.
The Rawhide's bullpen only gave up one hit in four innings. Jayson McKinley pitched two and one-third scoreless innings. He gave up one hit while fanning four. Cole Bartlett did not allow a baserunner in his two innings of relief.
