Appalachian Power Park Policies

 

The West Virginia Power make every effort to provide a family atmosphere and ensure that all fans are able to enjoy the game in comfort. For the convenience of our fans, Ushers and Security Staff are posted throughout the stadium. Any fan in need of assistance of any kind is urged to visit the Fan Assistance Center, where trained staff members are prepared to assist.

 

Advanced Ticket Sales
Advanced tickets may be purchased at the Appalachian Power Park ticket office during regular business hours, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Advanced tickets may also be purchased during Appalachian Power Park events at the Power Box Office located outside the Morris St. gate down the right field line. Tickets may also be purchased by telephone or via the Power website using a credit card.

Alcohol Sales Policy
West Virginia state law requires that you must be at least 21 years of age to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages. Upon request, each customer must present valid ID at the time of purchase. The Power reserves the right to refuse any sale. Remember to drink responsibly and to be considerate of other fans. Please DO NOT drink and drive. Animals
Fans are not permitted to bring any animals into Appalachian Power Park except for seeing-eye dogs or during special promotions, such as Furry Friend Friday.

Autographs
Prior to game time, fans have the opportunity to get players' autographs. Fans are asked to return to their seats 20 minutes prior to the start of the game. As a part of all Shawnee Park Foundation Kids Sunday Funday promotions, several players and/or coaches will be made available for autographs prior to all Sunday home games unless otherwise noted..

Conduct
Dirty Birds management reserves the right to revoke tickets of any patron using obscene or abusive language, exhibiting inappropriate behavior, or that is visibly intoxicated. Fans who enter the playing field or interfere with the play of the game are subject to ejection and possible arrest. All noisemakers, flags or any other objects that interfere with the play of the game or enjoyment by fans are prohibited.

Kalaskey Orthodontics Fan Assistance Center

Fan Mail
Fans wishing to correspond with a Dirty Birds player may do so by writing to the player's attention at: West Virginia Power 601 Morris St., Suite 201 Charleston, WV 25301 The Dirty Birds do not assume responsibility for any unanswered mail or damaged or lost material.

First Aid
Contact the nearest usher, security guard, Dirty Birds staff member or the Kalaskey Orthodontics Fan Assistance Center to be escorted to the First Aid Room located behind section 115.

Flying Objects from the Playing Field
Baseballs, bats, and other equipment can be very dangerous. Please keep your attention focused on the field when play is in progress. Fans may keep baseballs hit into the stands, but must not enter the playing field to retrieve a baseball or otherwise interfere with live balls. The Dirty Birds are not liable for any injury due to baseball equipment coming from the playing field. All bats and other equipment that leaves the field must be returned to the appropriate dugout. Please find the nearest usher, security guard, or Dirty Birds staff member who will assist you in returning the item.

Food and Drink
Fans are not allowed to bring any coolers, food or beverage into the stadium.

Gates
The stadium gates will open 60 minutes prior to game time for the general public. Opening times for selected games are subject to change without prior notice.

Groups
Bring a group of 20 or more to an exciting Charleston Dirty Birds game! The park provides an ideal setting to entertain clients or enjoy the company of family, friends, employees, and co-workers. Call the Group Sales Department at (304) 344-BATS (2287) to reserve your group's tickets.

Lost and Found
Deposit or retrieve lost items at the Kalaskey Orthodontics Fan Assistance Center.

Rain Checks
If five innings (4 ½ if the Dirty Birds are leading) are not completed, your ticket stub is good for admittance to any subsequent regular season game, excluding exhibition games. Tickets must be exchanged at the ticket office for the same priced ticket, subject to availability. For doubleheaders, no rain check will be issued for the second game if the first game is official. Re-entry
Fans are allowed to exit the stadium and re-enter if they keep their ticket stub and have it scanned at the gates. Please consult a ticket taker or Dirty Birds staff member prior to leaving the stadium.

Restrooms
Men's and Women's restrooms are located along the first and third base concourse. All of the restrooms are easily accessible to handicapped patrons. Each restroom is equipped with changing tables for infants. A family restroom is located next to the First Aid room behind section 115 and beside the Picnic Garden behind section 100.

Smoking Policy
As a city owned facility, Appalachian Power Park has been deemed a non-smoking facility. Fans wishing to smoke may exit the Lewis Street gate located behind home plate and be allowed to re-enter.

Souvenirs
Authentic Dirty Birds merchandise is available at Dirty Birds Store located on the right field concourse during each game or during regular front office hours from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
