SUMMARY
The Harrisburg Senators fell to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats 4-0 after a nearly two-hour rain delay Wednesday afternoon at Delta Dental Stadium. New Hampshire opened the scoring with two runs in the 2nd inning and tacked on single runs in the 6th and 7th. The Senators twice loaded the bases with two outs in the 1st and 5th innings but could not score.
THE BIG PLAY
With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out in the 2nd inning, New Hampshire’s Rainer Nunez gave the Fisher Cats a 2-0 lead by driving home both runners with a single to center field.
FILIBUSTERS
Robert Hassell III extended his on-base streak to 21 games and stole his 9th base, going 2-for-3 with a walk… Orlando Ribalta threw a scoreless 8th inning to extend his scoreless streak to 10 innings… The Senators’ got the leadoff batter on-base to begin four innings, but could not capitalize… The Senators’ bullpen had not allowed a home run in their last 22 innings pitched before New Hampshire’s 6th-inning leadoff home run by Zach Britton… The Senators were held scoreless for the first time since opening night on April 5th against Erie.
