Summary
The Harrisburg Senators opened the 2024 season Friday night at FNB Field and fell to the Erie SeaWolves 2-0. Erie scored two in the sixth for the only runs in the game. The Senators had several chances to break through but didn’t come up with the big hit in falling to 0-1. Even with frigid temperatures, their were 4,872 fans at the park.
The Big Play
With two outs and no one on base in the top of the sixth, TJ Hopkins doubled bringing Chris Meyers to the plate. Meyers worked a full count before launching a towering fly ball into the Senators bullpen giving Erie a 2-0 lead.
