May 31: Adam Wainwright Live in Concert

Presented by Hatch Foundation and the City of Springfield

The Springfield Cardinals, in conjunction with Hatch Foundation and the City of Springfield, are excited to present the first-ever standalone concert at Hammons Field on Friday, May 31, with St. Louis Cardinals Legend Adam Wainwright tabbed as the headlining musical act. Get tickets here.

Adam Wainwright will perform on a stage set up near second base with on-field seating available, providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Wainwright’s performance up close. The concert will begin at 7:05 PM with an opening act that will be announced at a later date. Gates will open at 6:05 PM. Tickets are on sale now.

Adam Wainwright is a veteran Major League Baseball (MLB®) pitcher known for his distinguished career with the St. Louis Cardinals®. A three-time All-Star, Wainwright earned a reputation for his clutch performances, particularly in post-season play, where he played a pivotal role in the Cardinal's 2006 and 2011 World Series victories. Beyond his on-field success, Wainwright is recognized for his leadership and philanthropy.

Looking toward the future, Wainwright, having signed with FOX Sports and MLB Network as a color commentator for MLB broadcasts has set his talents not only toward the game but also music. With the guidance and musical contributions of Grammy award winning producer and songwriter Gary Baker, Wainwright is poised to release his self-titled debut record to the world of country music in February 2024.

Adam currently resides in Georgia with his beautiful wife, Jenny and their five children. For more information on Adam Wainwright, visit AdamWainwrightMusic.com.

The HillBenders will perform as the opening act, presented by Mercy. They formed in 2008 right here in the Ozarks and have made themselves known for original music that mixes rock and country with bluegrass-inspired acoustic arrangements. The quintet frequently hits the road for international tours, including past performances at the Grand Ole Opry and South by Southwest. They have played with The Who, Charlie Daniels, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Marty Stuart and Del McCoury, and were featured on America's Got Talent.
