Travs Front Office Profile: Evelyn White
Evelyn hails from Jonesboro, AR where she grew up on a farm with her big family. Prior to joining the Travs staff in 2015, Evelyn spent five years away perusing her education and career. After interning with the NWA Naturals and graduating from the University of Arkansas with a MS in Sports Management, Evelyn attended grad school at the University of Louisville where she studied Sports Administration. While at Louisville, Evelyn interned with Nelligan Sports Marketing who oversaw all of the University's sponsorships and promotions. In 2012, Evelyn interned at Super Bowl 46 in Indianapolis, which soon became home for her for the next three years. Evelyn worked full time with USA Football in Indianapolis as the NFL's Punt, Pass and Kick Coordinator where she worked multiple NFL games and four different Super Bowls.
Getting to know Evelyn even more:
Why do you love being the Dir of Suites? I have always loved catering to people and being able to provide good experiences and customer service to fans, so when I was looking into moving back home and taking this job, it just seemed like the right fit for me and what I love to do. In just one season with the Travs, this job has exceeded all my expectations of how much I would enjoy it, and I can't wait to start improving the suite level for this upcoming season!
Favorite thing about Little Rock: Being back in the South. After being away from the state of Arkansas for six years, it made me appreciate where I came from and how I was raised so much more. Also being two hours (instead of nine hours) away from my three nephews is a huge plus!
If you could go anywhere in the world for free where would you go? Tough question. I'd be happy going with the same beach I've gone to every year since I was five, but I'll spice it up here and go with Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon. I recently read an article about both the falls and the 10-mile hike to get to it. It's officially been added to my Bucket List to do.
Favorite homemade meal consists of: My Mom's homemade lasagna with her caesar salad and my sister-in-law's "ooey gooey butter cake" for dessert.
Best baseball (or sports) memory: It was at a St Louis Cardinals game when I was eight years old. My parents took my brothers and me early for batting practice. We were in the front row behind the dugout as the players were coming off the field, and my oldest brother (Jesse) shielded me from the crowd pushing to get autographs so I could crawl onto the dugout and stick my baseball out just in time for Mark McGwire to see me and sign it. Proof that I have the best big brothers out there!
Favorite teams: St Louis Cardinals, New Orleans Saints and Arkansas Razorbacks!
If you played for the Travs, what position would you play? Shortstop! I want to do back-flips when I run onto the field like Ozzie Smith.
Window or Aisle seat on a plane? Window!
What actress would play you in a movie? I wanna say Kate Hudson would play me in a movie but chances are I'm more of a Tina Fey or Amy Schumer.
Message to fans who will be up on the suite level this year: Game days are my happy place so don't hesitate to stop me to chat or ask for a favor! My job is to help you all have the best experience possible and being a perfectionist, I'll be upset if you have anything short of that. Just promise not to make fun of my EXTREMELY country accent. :)
