North Little Rock, AR-The Corpus Christi Hooks rallied for a 4-2 win over the Arkansas Travelers on Thursday night. With the victory, Corpus Christi took the series, two games to one. North Little Rock, AR-The Corpus Christi Hooks rallied for a 4-2 win over the Arkansas Travelers on Thursday night. With the victory, Corpus Christi took the series, two games to one. Three Corpus Christi pitchers limited Arkansas to just five hits, only two after the fourth inning. Hooks starter Forrest Whitley struck out nine over five innings in earning his first win of the year with Corpus Christi. Travs starter Ian McKinney, making his team debut, allowed one run but went just four innings. Matt Tenuta took the loss out of the bullpen.
Moments That Mattered
* Arkansas scored twice in the first and led by two just three batters into the game. Whitley then struck out the next three batters and the Travs were held scoreless the rest of the way.
* The Hooks busted four singles in a span of five pitches in the sixth inning as they tied the score and then took the lead. Osvaldo Duarte drove in the go-ahead run.

News and Notes
* McKinney joined the Travs today from Class-A Modesto where he had been named Cal League Pitcher of the Year. He replaces Justus Sheffield in the Travs rotation. Sheffield starts tomorrow night for Seattle.
* The Travs have not won any of their past four series.

The home stand continues with the first of three against the Amarillo Sod Poodles on Friday night. Right-hander Ljay Newsome (3-2, 1.89) makes the start against lefty Nick Margevicius (4-3, 4.29).
