Guest Services

Usher

Responsibilities:

- Greet & help guests to their seats
- Clear understanding of McCormick Field, including concourse and seating bowl
- Make sure sections and seats are clean, and prepared for gates to open
- Answer questions or give directions around facility
- Manage crowd during event
- Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced environment

Bag Checker

Responsibilities:

  • While McCormick Field operates under a No Bag Policy, exceptions will be made for diaper bags accompanying young children, and medical bags.
  • Bag checkers will be responsible for checking approved bags as guests enter McCormick Field.
  • Example of prohibited items include outside food and beverages, and weapons of any kind, including pocket knives.

Box Office

Ticket Seller

Responsibilities:

- Greet each guest with a smile

- Processing ticket orders in a timely manner

- Operating cash register

- Handling all monetary transactions

Qualifications:

- Ability to perform basic arithmetic

- Friendly, outgoing personality

- Flexible work hours including weekends and holidays

Food & Beverage

Cashier

Responsibilities:

- Greet each guest with a smile

- Taking guest orders

- Operating cash register

- Handling all monetary transactions

- Follow PSC policies & Health Department guidelines

Qualifications:

- Ability to perform basic arithmetic

- Must be 18 years of age if position involves service of alcohol

- Must be 16 years of age if position does not involve service of alcohol

- Friendly, outgoing personality

- Flexible work hours including weekends and holidays

Concession Stand Cook

Responsibilities:

- Operation of standard kitchen utensils and equipment
- Preparing food for guests
- Follow PSC policies & Health Department guidelines

Qualifications:

- Prior cooking experience
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Flexible work hours including on weekends and holidays

Mobile Food Runner

Responsibilities:

- Accurate and efficient service for all guests

- Ensure menu is delivered to guests in a timely manner

- Follow PSC policies & Health Department

Qualifications:

- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Friendly, outgoing personality

- Flexible work hours including weekends & holidays

General Concessions

Responsibilities:

- Operation of concession equipment

- Preparing food for specific orders

Qualifications:

- Flexible work hours including weekends and holidays

Promotions

Mascot

Qualifications:

  • Performer’s height must be between 5’6 and 5’10
  • Prior experience in promotions, performing in costume and customer service preferred.
  • Must be comfortable performing and interacting with fans in front of large crowds and on camera.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, courteous, have good listening skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Cardio/respiratory endurance
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • MUST be COVID-19 vaccinated

Parking

Parking Attendant

Responsibilities:

- Monitor/control all guest parking lots

- Responsible for strategically parking vehicles to maximize spaces

- Parking lots consist of front lot (VIP Parking), Memorial Stadium lot (guests), and additional business lots

- Monitor parking lots for safety and security of vehicles and employees

Grounds Crew

Grounds Crew

Responsibilities:

- Be able to work at least 50% of Asheville Tourists home games. Shifts are: 9:00AM - 5:00PM and 5:00PM - 11:00PM.

- Be able to take instruction and work independently, with an eye for detail

- Maintain field to a professional standard

- Operate equipment and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner

- Conduct yourself in a professional manner around all teams and fans

Requirements:

- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

- Work in extreme/inclement weather

- Work long hours standing or moving

Bat Boys/Girls

No Bat Boy/Girl positions are available at this time.

Stadium Operations

Clean-Up Crew

Responsibilities:

- Maintain cleanliness of facility
- Sweep concourse, main gate, and seating bowl after each game
- Use Kaivac machine to clean and sanitize bathrooms *training provided*
- Make sure bathrooms are stocked with tissue and paper towels
- Empty trash containers
- Mop up spills

Merchandise

Merchandise Attendant

Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome guests to ballpark
- Maintain merchandise store upkeep during games
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all fans
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer
