LAKEWOOD- The Asheville Tourists faced the number one pitching team in the South Atlantic League on Thursday night for a twin bill of baseball. The Lakewood BlueClaws showcased their pitching prowess and held the league's top offense to three runs over 14 innings. Lakewood won both games; 4-1 and 5-2 respectively.
In game one, Jake Scheiner gave the BlueClaws a 1-0 lead with a Home Run in the bottom of the first inning. Casey Golden tied the game with a solo blast in the second. The score remained 1-1 until Lakewood plated three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Asheville managed only two hits after Golden's Home Run.

Spencer Howard pitched a complete game for the BlueClaws. Lucas Gilbreath , who suffered the loss, also tossed a complete game for the Tourists. It was Asheville's first complete game by a pitcher this season.
In game two, Lakewood jumped out to a 5-0 lead over the first two frames. It seemed as if everything was falling for the home team. A mix of infield singles and bloop singles led to a four-run rally in the second inning.
Ryan Vilade plated both of Asheville's runs in the top of the third. Vilade singled up the middle to score Taylor Snyder and Austin Bernard . Both teams went scoreless the rest of the way. Asheville did manage nine hits in game two with Bernard accounting for three of them.
The Tourists have now lost four straight games after putting together a season-high five game win streak. The BlueClaws are 28-13 at home this season.
