PEARL, Miss. (April 18, 2017) - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, evened the score after falling behind early, but they were defeated 4-2 by the Mississippi Braves in the second game of the series Tuesday night at Trustmark Park.

Alberto Triunfel's first hit as a BayBear was a solo home run in the third inning that cut Mississippi's early 2-0 lead in half. Triunfel drove in the second run for Mobile (4-8) as well with an RBI infield single in the seventh that tied the game.

The game was not tied for long, as Dylan Moore responded with a two-run homer off Ronnie Muck (0-1) in the bottom of the inning. It was the second long ball of the game for Mississippi (7-5), who jumped in front early courtesy of Joey Meneses' solo shot.

Kolby Allard went the first six innings and allowed just one run on four hits. He did not factor in the decision, despite exiting with a 2-1 lead. Michael Mader (2-0) blew a save for the first time in his career by giving up the tying run in the seventh, but he bounced back to earn the win. Akeel Morris struck out Andrew Daniel, the only batter he faced, to end the game and earn his fourth save.

BayBears catcher Jose Briceno threw out two of three runners attempting to steal second. Briceno has thrown out 60 percent of base-stealers (6-of-10) to begin the season.

Bo Way's eight-game hitting streak came to an end with an 0-for-3 night at the plate.

The BayBears continue the five-game road series Wednesday at 10:35 a.m. Right-hander Luis Diaz (1-0, 0.00 ERA), who was recently named Southern League Pitcher of the Week, is slated to make the start against right Matt Withrow (1-0, 2.45 ERA) for Mississippi.
