Binghamton Mets Release 2012 Schedule
The 2011 season came to an end on Labor Day, but the Binghamton Mets are looking ahead to 2012 with anticipation. The action begins at NYSEG Stadium April 5, 2012 with an Opening Day 6:35 PM game with the Akron Aeros.
The B-Mets will be home for numerous major holidays again in 2012 including Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day eve and Labor Day. After making just one visit to the Southern Tier during the 2009 and 2010 seasons, the Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, will play three series in Binghamton: May 15-17, July 16-18 and August 31-September 3. In addition, division-rival Portland, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, pay two visits to NYSEG Stadium.
Monday thru Thursday home games will be scheduled to start at 6:35 pm throughout the entire season with the following exceptions: May 28th (Memorial Day) 1:05 pm, June 4th (Baseball in Education Day #1) 10:35 am, June 14th (Baseball in Education Day #2) 10:35 am & September 3rd (Labor Day) 1:05 pm.
Fridays throughout the year will begin at 7:05 pm, and Saturday games from May 26th onward will start at 7:05 pm (April 7th & 21st and May 5th are all slated for 1:05 pm). Outside of May 27th (Memorial Day Eve) and September 2nd (Labor Day Eve) at 6:35 pm, Sunday home games will commence at 1:05 pm.
