Regions Field set to host All-Stars in midsummer classic

The Birmingham Barons are excited to announce the following details ahead of the 46th Annual Southern League All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 19, presented by Wind Creek Wetumpka. The two days in Birmingham will be loaded with fun for fans to enjoy. Monday, June 18- Hospital Visit, Meet & Greet, Gala -Hospital

The Birmingham Barons are excited to announce the following details ahead of the 46th Annual Southern League All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 19, presented by Wind Creek Wetumpka. The two days in Birmingham will be loaded with fun for fans to enjoy. 
Monday, June 18- Hospital Visit, Meet & Greet, Gala
 -Hospital Visit: All-Star players and coaches will visit Children's of Alabama to build wagons and spend time with the patients from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 
 -Players & Fans Meet & Greet: All-Star players will be available for autographs from 1-3 p.m. at theNegro Southern League Museum. The event is free and open to the public, and autographs will be signed one per player, per person.
-All-Star Game Gala: The All-Stars will be recognized at a special All-Star Gala at Good People Brewery presented by Gordon Foods, right across the street from Regions Field from 6-10 p.m. Casino Games will be provided by Wind Creek Wetumpka. 
Tuesday, June 19 -Luncheon, Home Run Derby, 46th Annual Southern League All-Star Game
-    All-Star Game Luncheon: Located in Diamonds Direct Ballroom at Regions Field, the All-Star Luncheon will induct several new members into the Southern League Hall of Fame. 1983 Rookie of the Year Ron Kittle will be the special guest at the Luncheon, and he will be available for interviews at the event.
-      Game Time: Regions Field gates will open at 4:30 p.m. ahead of the festivities. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.  
-      Lanyard Giveaway: All fans attending the game will receive a special All-Star Game lanyard ticket holder, presented by Wind Creek Wetumpka.
-     Home Run Derby: Beginning at 5 p.m., six of the Southern League's top sluggers will battle in the Southern League All-Star Home Run Derby, presented by Adamson Ford. The Home Run Derby will consist of two rounds with three North Division All-Stars and three South Division All-Stars battling it out and the winner from each division competing in the final round. The full list of participants for the Home Run Derby will be announced tomorrow.
-     Pregame Ceremonies: Starting around 6:30 p.m., all players from both teams will be introduced and will line-up on their respective baselines. Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin will throw out a first pitch.
-     National Anthem: Prior to the 7:05 p.m. game, award-winning, Grammy-nominated singer Jamey Johnson will perform the National Anthem. A life-long musician and performer, this former marine made his name in Music City as a songwriter. Now, he has two critically acclaimed albums under his belt as well as a truckload of awards.
-     Flyover: At the end of the National Anthem, F16 fighter jets from the 187th Fight Wing out of Montgomery will fly over Regions Field.
-      ZOOperstars!: This unique show features hilarious inflatable characters, synchronized dance routines, acrobatics, tricks, and comedy for performances that connect with fans of all ages.
-     Negro League Legends: The Barons will recognize former Negro League players from several clubs including the Birmingham Black Barons, Kansas City Monarchs, Indianapolis Clowns, and more during the game.
-      Fireworks: Following the game, fireworks will light up the Birmingham sky.
-      Post-Game Party: Located at the Switchyard on 14th immediately following the game, presented by ALT 99.1.
