Opening Night, Letter from a Birmingham Jail jerseys highlight season's first homestand

The Barons begin their home schedule with a five-game set against the Montgomery Biscuits.

The Birmingham Barons return home to Regions Field for their first home series of the 2018 season, a five-game set against the Montgomery Biscuits, Double-A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, from April 11-15. The action-packed series features a fireworks show, jersey auction, and a t-shirt giveaway before concluding with Jackie Robinson Day.

Wednesday, April 11 - Barons vs. Montgomery Biscuits

Game Time: First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Regions Field gates will open at 6 p.m.

Broadcast: Tonight's game will be broadcast live online at barons.com, and on Barons radio affiliate WERC 960 AM.

Opening Night Festivities: The Leap Frogs parachute team of the US Navy will deliver the game ball, Mayor Woodfin will throw out the first pitch, and the Navy Band Southeast will perform the National Anthem.

Schedule Cling Giveaway: On their way out of the stadium, all fans in attendance will be given a 2018 Barons schedule cling, presented by Riders Harley-Davidson.

-Bboy McCoy: Performing live on the field during the game will be Break Dancing Bat Boy, Bboy McCoy.

AAA Wednesday: Present your AAA card at the ticket office and receive $2 off a regular priced ticket.

 

Thursday, April 12 - Barons vs. Montgomery Biscuits

Game Time: First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Regions Field gates will open at 6 p.m.

Broadcast: Tonight's game will be broadcast live online at barons.com, and on Barons radio affiliate WERC 960 AM.

Thirsty Thursday: Enjoy $2 beer, wine, and soft drinks, courtesy of Miller Lite, Woodbridge Wines, and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Schedule Cling Giveaway: On their way out of the stadium, all fans in attendance will be given a 2018 Barons schedule cling, presented by Riders Harley-Davidson.

Magic City Jerseys: The Barons will debut their new black Magic City jerseys.

 

Friday, April 13 - Barons vs. Montgomery Biscuits

Game Time: First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Regions Field gates will open at 6 p.m.

Broadcast: Tonight's game will be broadcast live online at barons.com, and on Barons radio affiliate WERC 960 AM.

Friday Night Fireworks: After the game, fireworks will light up the sky to pop music, presented by Coca-Cola, Birmingham Airport Authority, and Alabama Power.

Faith & Family Night: Pregame testimonies and a performance by the Motion Worship Band highlight the night courtesy of Way FM.

 

Saturday, April 14 - Barons vs. Montgomery Biscuits

Game Time: First pitch is at 6:30 p.m. Regions Field gates will open at 5:30 p.m.

Broadcast: Tonight's game will be broadcast live online at barons.com, and on Barons radio affiliate WERC 960 AM.

T-Shirt Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive an All-America city t-shirt, courtesy of Jim Burke Subaru.

"Letter From A Birmingham Jail" Jersey Auction: For the 55thanniversary, the Barons will wear jerseys featuring the text of Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous "Letter from a Birmingham Jail." The game-used, autographed jerseys will be auctioned off to fans online during the game.

 

Sunday, April 15 - Barons vs. Montgomery Biscuits

Game Time: First pitch is at 3:00 p.m. Regions Field gates will open at 12:50 p.m.

Broadcast: Today's game will be broadcast live online at barons.com, and on Barons radio affiliate WERC 960 AM.

Family Sundays: New for 2018, Family Sundays feature face painting, and Kids Run the Bases postgame presented by NAPA.

Jackie Robinson Day: On the 71st Anniversary of Jackie Robinson's MLB Debut, breaking baseball's color barrier, the Barons will wear blue "42" specialty jerseys to honor his life and legacy.

Youth Clinic: Children 12 and under can partake in a pregame skills clinic with Barons players at 1:00 p.m.
