Game 5: Two home runs and solid pitching lead Boise to 7-2 win over Everett

BOISE, ID - With runners at first and second, manager Steve Soliz sent Zach Hall as a pinch hitter with the Boise Hawks having a two-run lead over the Everett AquaSox. Hall then launched a three-run blast over the right field wall making it 7-2 Boise.
This was Hall's first home run of the season and the ninth in his two years within the Rockies organization.
The Hawks (Short Season A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies) won their second straight game 7-2 with help from all sides over the Everett AquaSox on Tuesday night.
In terms of pitchers, the Hawks (2-3) handed the ball to Breiling Eusebio for the start of the game as he threw two innings, giving up three hits and one unearned run with two strikeouts. Luke Chevalier then came in relief for the Hawks making his professional debut. The 26th round draft pick from Northern State University curated three innings of work, not allowing a hit and striking out three.
Everett had a 2-0 lead going into the bottom of the sixth inning but the Hawks answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning, all with two outs. After a double from Aaron Schunk, Trey Jacobs batted him in with a single to right making it 2-1 AquaSox. The next batter Joe Aeilts reached on a missed throw by Everett pitcher Matt Martin, scoring Jacobs. Bladimir Restituyo then hit an RBI-single to right, scoring Aeilts and giving Boise the lead at 3-2.
This was the third consecutive game that Restituyo has collected an RBI. It was also the third time this season that Boise has scored three runs in a single inning.
When the bottom of the eighth started, Hawks shortstop Ezequiel Tovar launched a solo home run to left field on the first pitch, giving Boise a 4-2 advantage.
After back-to-back base hits from Aeilts and Restituyo, Hall's towering shot landed behind the right field wall and led to the 7-2 victory.
The Hawks will take on the AquaSox in game three of the four-game series Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. Frederis Parra is slated to make his second start of 2019 against Everett's Juan Mercedes.
