On August 9, the Boise Hawks, in conjunction with Agon Sports and Entertainment and the Northwest League, announced that Boise, ID and the Boise Hawks have been selected to host the 5th Annual Northwest League / Pioneer League All-Star Game. The game will be held at Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.
Hawks General Manager Bob Flannery, Hawks Assistant General Manager Mike Van Hise, Boise Mayor Dave Bieter, and Boise Metro Chamber President Bill Connors were on hand at a press conference at Boise City Hall Plaza to make the announcement.
"We are so proud to be hosting the All Star Game next summer," said Bob Flannery, Boise Hawks General Manager. "This is a great accomplishment on all fronts for the Hawks organization and for our community."
"This event goes beyond seeing the future stars of the game," stated Jeff Eiseman, President of Agon Sports and Entertainment. "This is a two day celebration of Boise and the amazing community the game thrives in."
A finalized schedule for the two-day event - cumulating with FanFest, Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game - with will be released later this year, along with details on ticket information and associated events held throughout the Treasure Valley.
"Congratulations to the Hawks and Agon Sports and Entertainment for hosting the first all-star game in Boise since 2007," said Boise Mayor David Bieter. "This will be a great event for our city and I'm excited to see the game."
