BOWLING GREEN, KY - The Bowling Green Hot Rods fell to the West Michigan Whitecaps by a score of 2-0, as the Whitecaps were able to avoid being swept by the Hot Rods.The game was scoreless until the eighth inning as RHP Tobias Myers became the third straight Hot Rods

BOWLING GREEN, KY - The Bowling Green Hot Rods fell to the West Michigan Whitecaps by a score of 2-0, as the Whitecaps were able to avoid being swept by the Hot Rods.
The game was scoreless until the eighth inning as RHP Tobias Myers became the third straight Hot Rods starter to not allow a run. He threw seven innings and allowed just four hits and two walks, while striking out six.
RHP Brian Bass matched Myers pitch for pitch as he threw six innings and allowed just one run and four walks while striking out five.
The Whitecaps broke through in the eighth inning when RF Dylan Rosa singled and then 3B Jordan Pearce hit a two run home run to put the Whitecaps up 2-0. RHP Johan Belisario earned the win and did not allow a hit or a walk over three innings.
The Hot Rods head up to Lansing tomorrow for a four game series with the Lugnuts. The starters for the series have yet to be announced for the upcoming series with Lansing.
